This is the new iteration of the influential House of Representatives Committee that conducted the Parliamentary Inquiry into Childhood Rheumatic Diseases which tabled its recommendations in parliament on March 31, 2022. You can read about that here.
The new Committee is chaired by staunch JAFA friend and supporter, Dr Mike Freelander, Labor MP for Macarthur in NSW. Mike was deputy chair of the previous Committee and was instrumental in getting the Childhood Rheumatic Diseases Inquiry up and running. He will be assisted in his role as Chair by new Deputy Chair, Melissa McIntosh. Liberal MP for Lindsay in Qld.
