JAFA is delighted to announce it has secured funding for a Cost of Illness Study into juvenile arthritis.

Thank you to Australian investment company Five V Capital and Adrian and Charlotte MacKenzie who are funding this important piece of work. This landmark national Cost of Illness Study will provide essential baseline information to address knowledge and evidence gaps about the financial impact of juvenile arthritis on the health system, on families and on the wider economy and will inform future national health
policy and planning to improve services and support for juvenile arthritis. The study will cover 0-25yr olds.

Preparations are already underway and the opportunity to participate in the main survey will be advertised to parents and young adults in the first quarter of 2023.  It is anticipated that the results will be available by the end of 2023
